At Easy Ears, we find that only a small number of patients experience hearing loss caused solely by excessive earwax build-up (also known as cerumen impaction). However, when earwax does block the ear canal, professional ear wax removal can quickly restore hearing clarity and comfort.
At Easy Ears, microsuction ear wax removal is a safe, gentle and pain-free method for clearing blocked ears. This advanced technique uses a high-powered microscope to give our specialists a clear, magnified view of the ear canal. With precise visibility, a low-pressure suction device is carefully used to remove ear wax build-up safely and effectively, restoring clear hearing without discomfort.
At Easy Ears, we understand that professional ear wax removal is no longer routinely available through many GP practices. As ear wax removal is no longer classified as an essential NHS service, many surgeries have stopped offering ear syringing or microsuction. This has led to a growing demand for safe, private ear wax removal services.
At Easy Ears, we strongly advise against removing ear wax at home. According to NHS guidance, self-syringing and cotton buds can damage the ear canal and eardrum. Safe ear wax removal should only be carried out by trained professionals using direct observation.
